My comment on the recent "Blink" episode of Dr Who on imdb:
This episode encapsulates why I watch Doctor Who - crazy interesting storyline, great Doctor quips, plus it was beautifully filmed. Believe me, it wasn't the lack of screen time with David Tennant that was the good part (I really REALLY love his Doctor), I guess it was that it focused on the story and not trying to get some little gadget to work, or have some bumbling alien/human devotee trying to take over the world and we just sonic screwdriver him to death. Personally, I feel the current series is FAR too in love with that screwdriver. Yes, it makes and nice shiny blue light, and blue is indeed my FAVORITE color, but we'd like a little bit more of the problem solving and mystery/scary/cool story. I really like the direction that the new Bond movie has done for the Bond megaseries - don't feature the gadgets, use them okay, but feature the mystery, the crazy different thought processes that are possible with alien/"alien" cultures. But please don't over-act it! (The Slitheren episodes with the overzealous interpretation of how to win friends and influence people left me cold). David Tennant is brilliant, let the man shine (and not his screwdriver so much)!

Four and a half years passed between posts. Blogger must have infinite depths of databases. Sadly though, the only blog I was maintaining in that time was cataclysmicly destroyed in some freakish "WHERE'D MY BLOG GO?!" accident. It was there one week and gone the next. Makes a girl look inward for reliance. Guess that's not *so* bad :)
Oh and, although my personal description over there is technically still accurate (for a few days anyway), I'm kinda re-thinking the architecture in Italy statement.

Vesper Martini
Three measures of Gordon's, one of vodka, half a measure of Kina Lillet. Shake it very well until it's ice-cold, then add a large thin slice of lemon-peel.
Had to look it up. With all the England-English dialect I surround myself with, you would imagine I might be able to understand my native tongue. And, it's not like I only saw the flick once.
